Gone too is the overtly patriotic aesthetic (some might call it kitsch) common to all political conventions, regardless of party. While individual American flags are worn and waved, the basic color palette is not red, white and blue, with the emphasis on red, but rather Obama blue – a cross between sky blue and robin’s-egg blue.
I’m suddenly feeling slightly “Obama blue” myself.
