In the 12-or-so hours that it took for news of John McCain’s renouncing nut-jobs at his campaign to be disseminated, the MSM determined that we were now witnessing a new, cynical, gutter-version of a once-honorable man. During the additional 24 hours that it took the New York Times to correct the central thrust of their inflammatory story about it, the slander against McCain had solidified into unquestionable fact. So be it. The media outrages of this election will fill books for years to come.
But, meanwhile, when the New York Post’s Amir Taheri catches Obama-supporter Jesse Jackson spewing anti-Zionist paranoia, the Obama camp moves swiftly to renounce . . . Amir Taheri:
Obama’s national security spokeswoman Wendy Morigi said the column presented “vague quotes-recorded by a columnist it (the campaign) considers hostile in a tabloid newspaper it considers biased against them-from an interview with a man last publicly seen threatening to castrate Sen. Obama.”
So, can we now expect to hear about how campaigning has changed the once saintly Obama into a hostile and irresponsible paranoiac?
