To the Editor:
I have read, with interest, your article in the January issue by Jacob Korg, “92nd Street Y.” It is a comprehensive report on our work and gives your readers an opportunity to learn the extent of our program and service. I am also happy that Mr. Korg gave so much space to our cultural activities. . . .
From the article, however, it would appear that I alone brought the cultural program to fruition, against the opposition of members of the Board of Directors. Let me make it clear that when I first presented my program to the then president of the Y, Frank L. Weil, he promptly saw its value, became its strong advocate, and helped largely in its formulation and adoption. I could not have accomplished my objective without his full support, and I should like this fact to be part of the record.
