I would like to express my great pleasure in “Annus Mirabilis: 1932” by Milton Klonsky (August 1957). I have just finished reading this story, and I think it is one of the finest things ever published in COMMENTARY. The charm of this piece for me lies in the fact that I, too, kept a diary very similar to the one in the story. Mr. Klonsky’s talent has consisted in taking familiar material and giving us a fresh slant on a New York childhood. . . .
