In the author’s note to Mr. I. D. Berkowitz’s story in your February issue, “The Chauffeur” (I insist on calling it by its classic title), you have given a wrong impression of his present work. The five-volume memoir of Sholom Aleichem and his novel on Palestine life were both published years ago. At present Mr. Berkowitz is working on the revision of his collected works. There will be a total of about ten volumes; five have already appeared in Israel.
