Fox News reports:
Don’t point fingers. Don’t make excuses. Don’t pass the buck. That was the advice President Obama gave to a graduating high school class in Michigan Monday night — advice that sent off an irony alert among Republicans who accuse the president of having “spent his tenure” doing exactly that.
No, they really have no self-awareness at the White House. They write off critics as hacks or unrepentant partisans. They consider citizen activists to be dopes or racists. They don’t watch Fox, or watch only to scoff that it isn’t a “real” news outlet. They don’t take seriously bad polling news. So they stumble into situations like this — blissfully unaware that the president’s buck-passing is frequently the subject of those news programs, columns, and talk shows that they routinely discount.
It is the equivalent of driving blindfolded. They have little ability to adjust and avoid potholes because they are oblivious to political reality and indifferent to the results of their misguided policies. For a community organizer, Obama is peculiarly out of touch with the people he’s supposed to serve. And it shows.
