Without a doubt, Jen, Obama remains an astoundingly gifted political speaker. So gifted, in fact, that his eloquence effectively masks the growing solipsism of his campaign. This is where Hillary’s jabs might begin to make sense — because the more he pivots his campaign around himself as an agent of undefined change, the more her claims that the time isn’t ripe for speeches but for solutions have something to attach themselves to.
