Representative Joe Donnelly, a sophomore Blue Dog Democrat from Indiana’s 2nd district, released a new campaign ad (on the subject of immigration) targeting not George W. Bush or Donnelly’s opponent, Jackie Walorski, but rather “the Washington crowd,” with the ad panning a photograph of President Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and House Minority Leader John Boehner. “I don’t work for them. Indiana, it’s worth recalling, voted for Obama in 2008. Now, less than two years later, Democrats are (implicitly) running against him and the Democratic Speaker. I imagine that Donnelly won’t be the last Democrat to do this between now and November.
